Russia says it’s ready to save Haiti

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday said Moscow is ready to help Haitians restore political stability, maintain internal security and train personnel.

"Haiti has entered a new period of political instability and the largest ever social and economic crisis, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"Being invariably committed to the principles of the United Nations Charter, we are willing to continue rendering needed assistance to the Haitians, she added.
