President Jovenel Moise inaugurated a new airport on Friday in the city of Jérémie, in the department of Grand’Anse. The runway, which measures 1,200 meters, was built in four months.
The president said in an event televised live by national Television that the construction of the terminal had been done using local funding.
Everything was done with state equipment and materials as part of the change caravan, added Minister of Public Works Nader Joaséus.
Jovenel underlined that the construction works of the terminal did not cost the State a million whereas he says to have seen a contract going back several years for the construction of this same terminal for 7, $ 5 million.
