Haiti: Still no confirmed coronavirus cases, but officials advise caution

Haiti’s public health minister said on Thursday that there are still no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country.

The two international airports and our four official border crossings are screening incoming passengers for the virus, Marie Greta Roy Clement said.

“When a passenger arrives at the airport, your temperature will be taken and you will be given a form to fill out, no matter where you are coming from,” she said.

“We also hand out a sanitary information form which provides information about who to call, how to protect yourself and what to do if you experience symptoms,” Clement added.

Haiti still this week without any confirmed infections of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus, which has sickened more than 118,000 people in 114 countries and killed nearly 4,300 worldwide.
