Haiti football and the role of sport in regional development were high on the agenda in discussions between President Jovenel Moise and the FIFA President at the National Palace in Port-au-Prince on Saturday.
During their discussions, Jovenel Moise took the opportunity to express government’s commitment to the growth of football locally and the desire for a positive working relationship with FIFA.
The FIFA President presented President Moise with a commemorative FIFA pennant and an official personalised football t-shirt.
Saturday’s meeting was part of a series of activities planned for the first official visit by the FIFA President to Haiti.
This is FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s first official visit to the country. Infantino was in Haiti for a one day visit.
