In its first World Cup match after 52 years, Haiti made a comeback with a loss to Scotland (1-0) at Gillette Stadium Saturday night in Boston.

In the 28th minute, John McGinn delivered the first-ever World Cup goal at Gillette Stadium, giving Scotland an early advantage.

Les Grenadiers were not without scoring opportunities against the Scots.

In the early minutes Haiti had multiple looks on net but launched them well high in haste.

Following the 1-1 draw between Brazil and Morocco earlier in the day, Scotland jumped to first place in the group with the win.

Haiti falls to the bottom of the group with the loss.
