The Public Affairs Office of the United States Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is pleased to announce to the public the broadcast of a radio soap opera titled "Chimen danje" [The road of danger], designed to discourage illegal migration.

This program lasts for 15 minutes each and spans 15 different episodes.

The aim of this radio film is to raise awareness and save the lives of people especially those who are considering either embarking on a small boat or illegally crossing countries in Latin America and Central America to reach the Mexican border with the intention of illegally entering the United States, by revealing the inherent dangers of this type of journey.

"Chimen Danje" is broadcast on the entire Radio Lumière network (97.7 FM and Radiolumiere.fm) every Sunday from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM, Wednesdays from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM, and Fridays from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM. It will also be broadcast in rotation on various radio stations across the country, including community media.

This serial will also be available on the YouTube channel of the U.S. Embassy at the following address:  https://www.youtube.com/@USEmbassyHaitiPD

The U.S. Embassy takes this opportunity to emphasize that illegal immigration poses a major risk and that it is everyone's responsibility to dissuade Haitians from putting their lives in danger by trying to enter the United States by sea or land.

American borders are more secure than ever!
