Haiti: Jacmel Celebrated its Annual Carnival on Sunday
Despite the socio-political crisis in which it took place, the public responded in large numbers to the festivities, which were less grandiose than in previous years.
In terms of organization, it seemed that the situation was normal within the Jacmel population and that no crisis had mortgaged the holding of the carnival.
If the Jacmel carnival is renowned throughout the world for its papier-mâché and its colorful masks, tourists have been conspicuous by their absence, a situation that Jacmel residents hope will be different in future editions.
