Haiti has signed a $18 million contract with China to acquire medical supplies to fight the coronavirus epidemic, Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe said on Saturday.
Worth some $18 million, the deal will cover 200 000 KN95 Disposable Masks, 1500 hospital beds, 2,5 million pairs of gloves, 100 respirators and 10 automatic biochemistry analyzers to address shortages in Haiti.
Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe said the contract was sealed following two meetings with officials from a private Haitian business association.
