Iskar Andrice has been found dead in the Cite Soleil neighborhood. His murder has raised concerns about potential power struggles among factions in the already volatile region, local media reported on Monday.
Andrice, had a stronghold in the Belekou community within Cite Soleil. Despite his involvement in criminal activities, he was recognized for his intelligence and education. "It’s regrettable that this guy had to be involved in gang activity, because he’s a very intelligent man," former mayor Esaïe Beauchard said. It wasn’t immediately clear what day Andrice died.
