First Lady Martine Moise welcomed Spain's Queen Letizia upon her arrival at the International Airport Tousssaint Louverture.
The monarch, who touched down in Haiti on Tuesday, is on a working visit to see first-hand the projects carried out by Spanish cooperatives in the region. President Jovenel Moise and the first lady will offer a luncheon at the Royal Palace in honor of the Spanish queen on Wednesday. Last week, the first lady posted a video on Facebook asking the queen to “help Haiti improve its image abroad.” “Together we can show other countries that Haiti is full of people who are proud of their origin, history and culture,” Martine Moise said.
