President Jovenel Moise has officially launched on Tuesday May 1st the construction works for the Marion's hydroelectric plant project in Grand Bassin, Terrier Rouge.
This will be the largest power stations in terms of Megawatt-hours produced annually in Haiti and the second largest hydro-graphic basin of the country.
In his address, Moise expressed delight about the project, highlighting it will not only supply electricity to Terrier Rouge but the entire Northern Region.
The Deputy of Terrier Rouge, Jovenel Louis, said the new power plant will light up several localities in the Northeast, this project is a sign for hope to get out of darkness.
