The new $105,400 Diegue Police sub-station, financed with the support of the United States, opened its doors on Friday, bolstering frontline police numbers in the area to keep the community safe.

U.S. Ambassador Sison shared, “I am proud to celebrate with Diegue (South-East of Port-au-Prince) as you build a strong and safe community,” emphasizing the importance of security and community policing to the ability of communities to prosper economically.

The new police sub-station will host ten police officers assigned to the community.
