Haiti Minister of Tourism and Airbnb have signed on Wednesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote responsible home sharing, boost tourism and diversify the tourism offer in Haiti.
Airbnb wants "to encourage more travelers to visit these special and beautiful places" in order to "create a world where anyone can belong anywhere."
This partnership will be very beneficial to the economy and to the destination, Minister of Tourism, Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos said.
The company's move is in response to President Trump calling those areas of the world, "s***hole countries," during a meeting discussing the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act.
