
Pope Francis has received in audience Jovenel Moise, President of the Republic of Haiti.
The cordial conversation that took place on Friday during a private audience in the Apostolic Palace between the Pope and President Moise focused mainly on social problems, especially poverty.
In a communique following the audience, the Holy See Press office said the “cordial conversations focused also above all on the theme of the promotion of peace and stability in Haiti.
After meeting with the Pope, the Haitian President engaged in a meeting with Vatican Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Gallagher.
