A chain of solidarity allows a donation of more than 11,480 liters of hydro-alcoholic solution for more than 50 health centers in Haiti.
It is a whole chain of multi-actor solidarity which, in connection with the Ministry of Public Health and Population, has taken action to support health centers in Haiti in the fight against COVID 19 .
The prefecture of Martinique, on behalf of the French state, ordered 11,480 liters of hydro-alcoholic solution from the company Prochimie, in association with the Union départementale des sapeurs-pompiers of Martinique.
The costs of transport, customs formalities and port handling on boarding from the company site to the port of Fort-de-France were covered by SOMOTRANS and the ROTARY club of Lamentin.
It was then the CMA-CGM Foundation which, thanks to its "Containers of Hope" solidarity program, made it possible to transport the cargo by boat to Haiti.
With the support of the French Embassy in Haiti and UNICEF, the NGO ACTED will now proceed to the distribution of these hydro-alcoholic solutions to health centers in the departments of Center, South-East , Grande Anse and the South.
